Helmut Jahn Design
120 North LaSalle is the last office tower in downtown Chicago designed by German-born internationally renowned architect Helmut Jahn. Projecting curved bay windows on both the facades of LaSalle and Wells Street allow for sweeping North and South views. Depicting the heroic legend of Daedalus and Icarus, the buildings front entrance is highlighted by a twenty-foot by fifty-foot mosaic mural by the late internationally known Chicago artist Roger Brown.

Safety & Security
120 North LaSalle Street is manned with 24-hour security 365 days per year. Security card access and recording surveillance cameras monitor specific building areas.
The Buildings fire alarm system includes water flow alarm monitoring, a fire department communication system, an emergency/standby power system, stair unlocking system, exit signage and emergency lighting. All floors are fully sprinklered in accordance with Chicago Building Code. Emergency power is supplied by a diesel engine-driven generator and is provided for exit and emergency lighting, the fire command panel, sump pumps, fire pumps, the lobby security console and select elevators.

As the western starting point of the Chicago Pedway, 120 North LaSalle’s direct underground access provides roughly 5 miles of indoor connectivity throughout the central and east loops.The pedway, used by tens of thousands of pedestrians each day, connects to public and private buildings, CTA stations and commuter rail facilities. At the same, the building’s prominent west central position on LaSalle Street provides easy access to the city’s west loop, the major expressways and commuter trains.
